MA-KA-JA-WAN HIGH ADVENTURE BASE TREK REQUEST

Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation’s High Adventure Base will offer eleven different adventures in 2019, for your troop or crew.  Whether you are interested in taking in the vistas on foot at one of our four backpacking destinations, paddling through the cool water on our kayaking or canoe treks, or relaxing on sailboats in Lake Superior, there is sure to be a trek for you!  We’re even adding a cycling trek, so you can traverse the beautiful countryside of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula!  If you don’t see a trek that you like, contact the camp staff about a custom itinerary.

We offer both in-camp day trips (that are designed to compliment your stay at Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan) or adventures outside of the regular camp program. We are proud to be a Nationally Accredited High Adventure Base.

To receive information about Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan’s High Adventure Treks, troops must submit a MSR High Adventure Request Form-2019 with the appropriate fees.  This is a non-refundable fee that is strictly for the High Adventure Packet, and to receive the password for your specific trek.  None of it will be applied toward registration fees or additional fees accrued during your trek, nor does it get your unit registered for the high adventure trek program.  Your trek contact (listed on this form) receives online registration information.  It is vital you contact Debi Geiger at the council office should someone else take over as your unit’s trek contact.

For more information about our High Adventure Program and offering, check out our High Adventure Page.
